Kevin Reid

Chairman of the Board

As Chairman of the Board, Kevin provides executive oversight guiding the future of Greensmith. Kevin is also Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Virtustream, Inc. Since its inception in 2009, Kevin and Virtustream have received recognition as one of the most promising North American start ups by winning the Red Herring "Top 100 North America Award" in 2011 and the Washington Business Journal's "2010 Minority Business Leader" award.

Kevin was formerly the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Adjoined Consulting, a US based management consulting, technology and outsourcing firm targeting the global 2000 market. Adjoined was known as the fastest growing U.S.-based IT Services from its inception through its acquisition by Kanbay in 2006. Kevin then became the Global Practice lead for the Business Intelligence Practice of Kanbay which was subsequently acquired by Capgemini in 2007. Kevin continued on with Capgemini as the North American practice leader for Business Intelligence and Enterprise Architecture.

Prior to Adjoined Kevin was CIO for a privately held corporation and the largest producer and distributor of sweeteners in the United States. Before that he was with Accenture's Consumer Products Industry Practice.


John Jung

President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO, John has led the company from concept to market leadership in grid-scale energy storage technology since joining in 2009. He set the commercial and strategic vision for Greensmith early on: to provide the energy storage technology platform of choice to customers and partners leveraging a battery-agnostic, software-optimized and distributed network approach.

Prior to Greensmith, John spent over 20 years building high-growth, B2B technology companies and was a strategy consultant to a number of vertical sectors including the electric utility industry. John held C-level roles at four venture capital-backed technology companies operating globally, including a consortia-based electronic marketplace that served 21 of the 25 largest electric utilities in North America. John also served as a senior strategy consultant for A.T. Kearney and Braxton Associates in the areas of corporate/business unit strategy, enterprise transformation and portfolio/growth strategy. John holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Sciences from the University of Western Ontario.


Patrick Bischoff

Board Member

Since the Fall of 2007, Patrick has been the Managing Director and founder of Luminor Ventures, Inc., which consults for, and holds equity investments in environmental engineering, clean tech, energy, medical, and other companies. From 2001 to present, Patrick has also been the Managing Director and founder of Spinnaker Ventures LLC, a venture capital firm specializing in IT, business services and energy investments. He co-founded Saba Software Inc. (NASDAQ: SABA) in 1996 and held various positions with the company through 2001.

Before Saba Software he was the youngest partner in Europe's largest IT Systems Integration Company (CompuNet) and was part of the Management Team that sold the business in 1996 to GE Capital. He is serving on several Board of Directors in particular World Energy Solutions (NASDAQ: XWES) since its inception and has been instrumental in the company's IPO and many of the subsequent acquisitions. Patrick has worked around the globe and has significant experience in start-up management, business development, corporate strategy, M&A and IPOs. He holds a Masters in International Management with distinction from Thunderbird (Arizona).


Bill Pruitt

Board Member

Bill is the president of Pruitt Enterprises, LP and Pruitt Ventures, Inc. Bill's career began with Arthur Andersen & Co. where he remained for 33 years, retiring as the managing partner for Florida, the Caribbean, and Venezuela. He is a founding board member for the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and served as President until 2009, where he continues to serve on the Board of Directors. He is also a past president of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Since retirement from Arthur Andersen, Bill has continued to serve in advisory and audit committee leadership roles, including Adjoined Consulting, Inc.; PBSJ Corporation; Mako Surgical Corp.; KOS Pharmaceuticals, Inc; and the Coral Gables Trust Company. He has held trustee or board member roles at the University of Miami; the University of Miami Citizens Board; the University of Miami Alumni Association; the Miami Bankers Club; the Florida Chamber of Commerce; the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce; the Greater Miami Free Zone; the Miami Ballet; and the Tropical Girl Scout Council. Bill was selected by the University of Miami Business School as the Alumnus of Distinction in 1997.


Raymond Spencer

Board Member

Since February 2007, Raymond has served as chief executive officer of the Financial Services Strategic Business Unit of Cap Gemini SA, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. From February 1989 to February 2007, Raymond served as chairman and chief executive officer of Kanbay International, Inc., an information technology services firm. From 1970 to 1989, he was employed by the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA), a not-for-profit development organization. At ICA, Raymond was the country head for India from 1970 to 1976 and was later involved in worldwide fundraising, government relations and investment operations. Raymond attended the Adelaide University School of Law.


Rodney Rogers

Board Member

Rodney has been a successful entrepreneur in the IT Services industry for over 22 years. Rodney was formerly the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Adjoined Consulting. Adjoined was known as the fastest growing U.S. based IT Services company from its inception through its acquisition by Kanbay. Rodney then became COO of Kanbay, a 7,000 person global IT Services firm which was subsequently acquired by Capgemini in 2007. As such, Adjoined set the bar for private U.S. based IT Services value creation in the post-2000 era. Rodney was recognized on Kennedy Research's global list of "Top 25 Most Influential Consultants" and was a finalist for the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" award.

Rodney then co-founded Virtustream in 2008 and is Chairman and CEO. As a lead-operator and entrepreneur, Rodney has raised over $120 million in venture capital for the companies that he has developed to-date. Rodney is also non-Executive Chairman of Teliris, the #2 provider of telepresence solutions worldwide, and a Board member of UnitedLex, a leading India-based Knowledge Process Outsourcer and Greensmith, an emerging leader in distributed energy storage software technology.


Konrad Augustin

Board Member

Konrad Augustin built up and heads the US activities of Strategic Co-Investment (SCI) Group of E.ON, one of the largest utility companies in Europe. He invests in innovative start-up companies with technologies and services that can be deployed across E.ON globally with focus on customer solutions, smart grids and renewable energy. Konrad led Investments into a various companies, incl. Autogrid, Greensmith, Enervee or Thermondo. Prior to moving to the US, Konrad helped build up SCI at company HQ in Germany. Before joining E.ON, Konrad worked at BASF Venture Capital and at strategic marketing and corporate audit of BASF Group, with projects in Australia, Japan, Singapore and various European countries. Mr. Augustin studied Business Administration in Regensburg and Connecticut, USA, and holds a Diploma and an MBA.
